This was an unplanned purchase after replacing my old waterbed mattress and discovering the old heater had leaked sticky brown gunk around the connector. Understandably, I wasn’t keen on using it again.
Every new heater seems to get smaller and thinner; this one feels like a sheet of plastic film! It also has a built-in temperature sensor so there’s only one wire going under the bed. The cable is long enough to position the pad connector towards the bottom of the bed so it’s completely unnoticeable (sometimes I’d feel the old one through the mattress).
A very minor criticism is that the controller doesn’t have any means of mounting onto the bed frame, but that was easily fixed with a couple of sticky-back velcro pads. The controller also has a lock to prevent accidental adjustments, a very welcome feature.

Ordered this Carbon Classic as a replacement heater and it is fantastic. So pleased to have my Water Bed back at last – so it will be an early nights for me.
As always I took advice before buying and the heater was delivered swiftly. It looks slim but it is working perfectly and I rang to take advice on the setting as the control is very different to my old one.
