Buying a waterbed?
Here is a handy list of items that we hope will help to remove the mystery in choosing the design, size and mattress etc:
Which style of waterbed would you like, for instance Hard sided or soft sided waterbeds. The difference between them is not in the quality of sleep as both offer a superb sleep. But more about how the water is held in place. A hard sided waterbed has wooden sides all the way around that hold the waterbed mattress in place. Where as the soft sided waterbed has foam shoulders to do that. This makes them easy to get in and out of bed.
Which size of waterbed are you interested in? Not all our waterbeds come in all the different sizes so if you want a certain size please see the options on the bed of your interest for the sizes. Also double check that you have enough space if you are interested in a waterbed with a frame surround as they can increase the overall size a little.
Would you like dual waterbed mattresses? Dual waterbed mattress are for couples who like their waterbeds at a different temperature. The mattress on the left could be turned up more than the right for instance.
Pick which stability of mattress you’d like! The differences are indicated below to make it easy for you. But in short you can order your waterbed with a built in amount of stability. From 1(wobbly) up to 5 (really stable). Remember the water does the supporting of your body and the built in fibre layers control the water movement. The total thickness of the fibre, means less water movement. They all offer superb and easily adjustable support which is controlled by the amount of water put in the mattress.
You can order most waterbeds with different Stain/colour/materia. These are options that are on the waterbed page of you choice. Once you picked you perfect bed then pick your perfect colour.
Some of our waterbeds come with the option of built in drawers under the waterbeds. This will be an option on your perfect bed if they come with drawers or not.
Temperature: All our waterbeds come with Carbon Fibre waterbed heaters. These are fully adjustable at any stage.

How do we judge how a waterbed mattress gets it’s stability rating?
Where waterbed mattress stabilities are specified, they are a reasonable guide for you. This guide starts not from the fill date but after 3 months from a correctly fitted and filled, De-aired and heated mattress installation date. This gives the mattress time to settle in properly and the fibres time to swell in the water. The waterbed mattresses are design for the correct amount of people lay on them. eg. King size is for Two. Any more or less people using the waterbed mattress will result in a slightly different stability time period than explained in the description. Any inspection/timing of water movement before 3 months or with non or an incorrect number of people using, will result in an inaccurate assessment of a waterbed mattress. The correctly filled Aquaglow Waterbed mattress depth is 8 – 9 inch deep(203-228mm). Aquaglow’s waterbed mattresses are commonly known as 8.5 inch deep mattress when used by 2 people for a double size bed and above. Any more or less water in Aquaglow Waterbed mattress is an incorrect depth and will have a bearing on stability and comfort.
