Which waterbed heater best suits your bed size?
Ideally suited for small waterbeds like singles(3’x6’6”) and Dual system waterbeds where a heater would be fitted under each mattress side.
Although suitable for all sizes and types of waterbeds. We think they are best suited for small to medium waterbeds up to and including UK king size(5’x6’6”). They are also great for dual system waterbeds where a heater is fitted under each mattress side.

We think these waterbed heaters are great for medium to large waterbeds up to and including American King(6’x7′) and Emperor Size(7’x7′). But to big for single and dual system waterbeds.

Warmth relaxes, provides a feeling of security and makes you feel good. No wonder that warmth is such an important factor for the comfort of a waterbed. However: Everybody experiences warmth differently.
This is why the temperature in Carbon Heater® heating systems can be individually adjusted to the users needs at any time. Both the controls as well as the temperature sensor in the heating element allow a deviation of +/- 0.1 °C, based on the relative temperature. It is hardly possible to be more precise and constant.
Besides, the Carbon Heater® heating elements are of large dimensions and can transmit the heat evenly to the water chamber while preserving the surrounding materials.
The “IQ Carbon” control has a temperature range from 24 ˚C to 36 ˚C and can be adjusted in 0.1 ˚C increments. The “Prestige” and “Classic” analogue controls have a temperature adjustment range from 25 ˚C to 35 ˚C and can be adjusted in 0.33 ˚C increments.
Why are the temperature steps so small? Think of summer, with a cozy 25 ˚C in the shade. Half an extra degree will make it seem too warm to you. The fine steps in the setting therefore ensure the perfect feel-good temperature.

This was an unplanned purchase after replacing my old waterbed mattress and discovering the old heater had leaked sticky brown gunk around the connector. Understandably, I wasn’t keen on using it again.
Every new heater seems to get smaller and thinner; this one feels like a sheet of plastic film! It also has a built-in temperature sensor so there’s only one wire going under the bed. The cable is long enough to position the pad connector towards the bottom of the bed so it’s completely unnoticeable (sometimes I’d feel the old one through the mattress).
A very minor criticism is that the controller doesn’t have any means of mounting onto the bed frame, but that was easily fixed with a couple of sticky-back velcro pads. The controller also has a lock to prevent accidental adjustments, a very welcome feature.

Ordered this Carbon Classic as a replacement heater and it is fantastic. So pleased to have my Water Bed back at last – so it will be an early nights for me.
As always I took advice before buying and the heater was delivered swiftly. It looks slim but it is working perfectly and I rang to take advice on the setting as the control is very different to my old one.
