Sleigh beds differ from traditional beds in that they don't use wooden bed posts. The Parisienne uses what's called a slab end and the deep sweeping curves from head board to foot board give the distinctive boat shape from which it gets the name ‘Lit Bateau'. With fine detail like decorative brass plaques and ogee shaped bracket feet the Parisienne ooze's the sort of qualities that you would expect from a luxury bed of this caliber.
