The County Kerry is packed with handmade detail. Start at the top of the headboard and footboard and your eye is drawn to the split barley twist turning that's mounted onto the dog-tooth pediment. This pediment crowns both the multi panelled headboard and footboard. The small panels are individually made and mounted in a framework of rails and stiles in the time honoured way. Once this is cramped together and set it's joined onto the posts with mortise and tenon joints.

This solid pine bed is packed with rustic charm so if you want a shabby chic look - you can have it. If you want the country style look you can also have it because the design of the County Kerry pine bed is based on the provincial wooden furniture of Ireland which was made by local craftsmen to the local customer's particular needs.
