Built to last... Like all Tall 4 posters the Chatsworth surround has an identity all of its own. For a start it's a less imposing 4 poster than the Ambassador, the Countess or the County Kerry. This makes it an ideal choice if the bedroom it's going into is tight for space...it's less of a room filler. It's a very pretty bed with much of the craftsmanship going on in the scalloped canopy; also the bedposts are capped off with beautiful turnings based on a Regency style urn. It's because of the beauty of the canopy that the Chatsworth Tall 4 poster is often left without any drapes and still looks fantastic. We've given a contemporary feel to the bedroom set in the picture and the Chatsworth tall 4 poster feels quite at home. Notice how the Mellow Brown hand wax finish blends so well with the cream walls. The headboard and foot board are a two panel construction with the footboard just clearing the carpet.
